The war continues in Norghana. The East supports the new King and the West supports Arnold Olafstone, the rightful heir to the crown. In the North the Ice Savages claim their lands. In the middle of the war, Lasgol and his companions have managed to graduate as Rangers. They must decide whether to take the Specialization Test. If they do and pass it, they will be able to access the Specialist Ranger training and opt for one of the elite specialties. To do this they will have to go to a hidden and secret place: the Refuge. It is rumored to be a special, arcane place.
